I have worked as a professional academic librarian for many years, soon to retire. I began attending the Shaker Seminar in 2006 and joined the Boston Area Shaker Study Group (BASSG) shortly thereafter. I currently serve as secretary to this group. My Shaker interests are eclectic, but I am lead to a particular interest in spiritual/communal life and textiles. As a participant my objective is to support the efforts of those scholars and individuals who help keep the Shaker spirit alive within us.
